I don't live in the trendiest or most hip neighborhood of Minneapolis, but the Nokomis East area is a great place to live. I have great neighbors, it's close to Lake Nokomis, Minnehaha Falls, bike trails, good restaurants, and tennis courts. And Town Hall Lanes opened last year, which has been a great addition to the neighborhood (and made us a bit more hip, thank you very much). Here are some of my favorite spots:
So that's it! My Winter Distraction is officially complete. If you followed along, I really do appreciate it. It was a fun challenge for me, and it's crazy because the month flew by, yet at the same time week 1 feels like a lifetime ago. It pushed me creatively and it was good to explore some new styles to push me outside my comfort zone. Interestingly, I'm now feeling the need to regress a bit back into my comfort zone, and while I think that's ok, I also want to continue exploring and growing. I need to find a balance because doing what is comfortable and natural has its rewards, but I also want to stay open to new things. So on that note, I'm excited to look ahead to April to find out what it has in store. I'll probably reflect on this month a bit more and I have plans for some new personal challenges, but right now the sun is shining and it's time to venture outside. Supposedly it will reach 60 degrees today, to which I say, bring on spring!!
