For Christmas this year I used Artifact Uprising to create several presents for family. I love the clean, modern templates for their photo books, who they are, and their other product offerings. I made a book for my parents with photographs from our New England road trip, and some print sets for my brother and sister of photographs I've taken of my nieces and nephews over the years. Then I was inspired to also finally do something with my Paris and Barcelona photographs. It's been a year and half since that trip and I never did anything with my photographs beyond just posting a few here, so I made some small photo books with my favorite photographs.
The books are easy to make and their printing technique seems to add a bit of an aged, tectured feel to the photographs, which worked perfectly for these images. I love these tiny books.
The book is small -- just 5.5 by 5.5 inches -- and I went with the simple full page layouts, with the exception of the 1st and last pages where I added a little text including the date and my name. It was fun to figure out what two images to put together, and it has me thinking of putting together diptychs more often. Might be a fun photo challenge.
It's great to see photographs on a computer screen, but it's even better to see them together in a little book. I'm thinking this might be the beginning of a collection.
