Look, that's me (ok, my art) up there framed all nicely and hanging around with other great pieces of silverware themed art! This is just too cool. It is a feature from the October issue of Style at Home, a great decorating magazine in Canada, and I am honored to be included. I love the whole thing -- the awesomeness of that red chair, the AMAZING plaid wallpaper (I want it in my kitchen), and of course, all the great art:

It is a great way to kick off fall, which has already started in earnest here in Minnesota this week. Acorns are everywhere and I had to wear a jacket for the first time yesterday -- it has been absolutely chilly the past few days! Don't get me wrong, I love fall, but its arrival also means that the long, cold winter is right around the corner. However, one of the great things about the changing seasons is that I tend to hibernate when the cold sets in, and that definitely helps my painting and sewing productivity level.
I also like the change of seasons for just the change itself. I already tend to be a bit of a restless soul and I think I would grow unbearably restless if we didn't have four distinct seasons and all the changes and newness that each one brings. Or maybe the steadiness would actually be good for me! Regardless, I'm happy to pull out a few sweaters and comfy sweatshirts and settle into fall a bit. I just hope it sticks around awhile.
I'm now officially excited to see what other changes the upcoming months bring!
