Ok, so I have a confession: I sort of semi-secretly unofficially (yet officially) launched my second Etsy shop last night. I mentioned in a previous post that I wanted to start a second shop to sell prints of my paintings, but I wasn't anticipating it to happen so fast! I knew it would be relatively soon and had been working hard to get ready, but I still had a few final details I wanted to cross of my list before listing several prints. But last night I realized I was ready to go with listing the first print and instead of waiting I decided to just jump in. Normally I'm much more methodical about such things (well, in hindsight I was still very methodical...), but last night I wondered why wait to list the print if I felt like I was ready to list it. So I did! I listed the vintage dress form watercolor. And just now I listed the second print of the vintage camera.
I know, I know, they look pretty lonely on such a blank screen... but I hope to get several more listed tomorrow and over the weekend. I initially intended to wait and list several items at once to have it feel more "official" (well, official to me). That's what I did when I starting listing items in my other shop, but instead I just decided to slowly move ahead and list prints as I am ready.
And this morning I was glad I did because another seller, JasmineCreations, already featured it in one of her treasuries!! Click here to visit her great shop of amazing scarves. This definitely brought a smile to my face today! The image of the treasury is below and my dress form watercolor is in the bottom row. Fun stuff!
I have a lot of ideas and plans for this shop, but I'll save all those details for another time! I also have all the familiar nervous feelings (and insecurities) that I had when I started the other shop... but that has been such a positive experience that I'm hoping this one will be too.
And finally, the weekend ahead has a ton of sewing in store, along with some pattern making, some painting, and hopefully getting some more items listed in my shops. Yes, plural: shops!
